If we decide to cancel a class or course

If we have to cancel a course due to low enrolment, tutor illness or some other unforeseen circumstances, we’ll get in touch ASAP. You will be offered a choice of either a full refund or a class credit. If it’s just one class, we’ll try to make it up.

Brief Details:

This is a supervised sewing class suitable for all skill levels, designed to support you to work on your own projects.

You don't need to be a great sewer for these classes. Our teachers are highly skilled and professional and love to help! The classes are a fabulous opportunity to learn from each other, build new skills, challenge yourself & meet other like-minded creatives.

Class details:

This is a supervised sewing class suitable for all skill levels, designed to support you to work on your own projects, such as:

making your own clothes
alterations
re-sizing and re-purposing op-shop finds or favourite old pieces
adjusting patterns to fit correctly
projects you might be stuck on and need some help or inspiration to finish them!

You don't need to be a great sewer for these classes. Our teachers are highly skilled and professional and love to help!

These sessions are a fabulous opportunity to learn from each other, build new skills, challenge yourself & meet other like-minded creatives!

We do recommend that absolute beginners firstly join a Beginners Class before coming along to these classes as they are not structured learning and don't cover basic skills. Get in touch with us if you are not sure of your skill level

What to bring to this class:

Your own sewing machine and accessories (don't forget the cord!)
Scissors and sewing kit
Your sewing project and all the notions and bits you need for it (Just in case....Kyneton Shoes have a great range of haberdashery basics if you need thread, needles, elastic etc.)

What’s included:

Experienced instructor to assist you and supervise the making of your garment, alteration or pattern-making
Beautiful natural light-filled space
Large tables and space to cut your projects on and lay out your patterns
An ironing board and iron

Getting to your class

Let us know which course you are booking by filling in the class booking form and we’ll send our bank details for you to make payment. Once you have made payment, send the payment receipt to sewingroomkyneton@gmail.com A spot is reserved for you once full payment is received. Class materials or kit fees (if applicable) may be included or charged separately and must be paid prior to commencement. The class fee covers the overhead costs of a teacher & operating the space. For most classes we need a minimum of 4 students to participate in each session. If we don't have the minimum number of students enrolled we may need to cancel the class.

We’re a small sewing studio, and every seat in our classes really counts. When you book a class, that spot is yours – and we start planning, prepping materials, and turning people away once it’s full. Because of that, we don’t offer refunds for cancelled bookings within 7 days of the class. If we can fill your spot we can offer a refund. There is no refund if you don’t show up or drop out.

Fortnightly Saturday Sewing & Garment Making classes are $80 per session for 3 hours.
These classes are booked individually in advance.
